Unreal Engine Character Animation States
Here I have a quick video, which was created at home, to demonstrate character animations states using Unreal Engine in a generic environment. In the video you will be able to see the character poses and animation from T-pose to me actually having control over the character's movement. In this demonstration I created variables to control the movement speed and the blending of the animation to make the character appear to cover a large distance, although I was using the general animation.
The primary pose and animations displayed are the following:
- T-Pose
- Idle standing animation
- Walking in place animation
- Walking forward animation
- Customized user or player controlled movement
Unreal Engine is a pretty flexible application in which the user can created customized content. Although the learning curve can be high, novice to expert users can make great use of this platform with a little perseverance.
